Getting started

Open your account and first steps

What is Block Aero?

Block Aero turns paper-bound aircraft records into verified digital passports. Our mission is to create one for every aerospace asset in the world. The platform replaces scattered PDFs and binders with records you can share and prove, cutting the delays that leak value out of every transaction.

How do I get started?

Open your organization account at the Block Aero Terminal and begin onboarding assets right away. New organizations start in a sandbox before moving to production.

I already have an account. Where do I log in?

Sign in at portal.block.aero to manage your assets, build data packages, and access your registries.

Can I see the platform before committing?

Yes. Book a demo and our team will walk through the Digital Asset Manager, digital passports, and the workflows that matter to your operation.

Who uses Block Aero today?

Organizations across the asset lifecycle: distributors, MROs, lessors, recyclers, and OEMs. Customers on the Aviation Blockchain Network include Unical, eCube, AAR, MD Turbines, JALUX Inc, Stratton Aviation, CAVU Aerospace, Turbo Resources, and Ascent Aviation.

Where do I get help once I am onboarded?

The Support Hub has guides, answers, and a way to reach the team for account and technical questions.

How is the Digital Asset Manager priced?

Pricing is an Organization License, monthly or annual, plus per-asset usage fees, with service levels SL I through SL IV to match your volume. Every active organization's baseline is the Block Aero Core Platform Subscription plus Aviation Blockchain Network access in both sandbox and production. See pricing.

Passports & the network

The Aviation Blockchain Network

What is the Aviation Blockchain Network (ABN)?

The shared network where your verified records live. It is the foundation that makes a record trustworthy across organizations: your assets, your proof, owned by you. Learn more.

What is a digital passport (BAA)?

A Blockchain Aviation Asset (BAA) is the on-chain record for an asset, its digital passport. Passports are issued on the Aviation Blockchain Network and travel with the asset across its life. Learn more.

Who owns my data?

You do. Your records and assets remain yours. The network lets you control what you share and with whom, and gives counterparties a way to verify what you have shared without handing over your whole archive.

What is the Data Sharing Specification?

The Data Sharing Specification (DSS) is the standard that organizes records into 108 document types. AI-assisted records management in the Digital Asset Manager classifies unstructured PDFs to that standard, so your records are consistent and searchable. Learn more.

What is the Trust List?

How organizations and roles are recognized on the network. It is aligned with the ICAO Trust Framework and ISO 27001 guidelines, so trust on the network maps to recognized industry standards. Learn more.

Can I share records with companies that are not on the network?

Yes. Data Package Creation assembles verified records into shareable packages, and those packages can go to off-network counterparties such as buyers, regulators, OEMs, and lessors. See the feature.

USM & data packages

Move used serviceable material faster

What is Data Package Creation?

A flagship feature of the Digital Asset Manager. It assembles verified records into a single shareable package for buyers, regulators, OEMs, and lessors, turning a job that used to take weeks into one that takes hours. See the feature.

How does this help a USM sale?

Buyers can verify what they are purchasing instead of waiting on records to be chased down and reassembled. A complete, verified package removes the back-and-forth and the doubt that slow deals and erode value.

Can I list assets on marketplaces?

Yes. Through openAPI Integration Services you can list assets on marketplaces such as ILS with immutable proof-of-ownership links attached, so buyers get verification in minutes. See integrations.

Do you have proof this works at scale?

JALUX, a Japanese aviation multinational, runs its supply chain on Block Aero: 13,753 repair orders, $100M+ in transaction volume, and 150,000+ assets managed on the network, as presented in the EASA VIRTUA case study co-delivered with JALUX. A concrete example of the platform under real enterprise load. Read the case study.

AFRA-CAAC Registry

Compliant cross-border USM

What is the AFRA-CAAC Registry?

A program in a voluntary participation phase under CAAC Advisory Circular AC-145-FS-017 R1. Block Aero is the implementation partner of the AFRA-CAAC Registry and the only overseas compliant parts management platform for it. Learn about the program.

Is participation required?

No. The program is currently voluntary. Organizations choose to participate to support compliant cross-border USM traceability into the Chinese market.

What does the registry cover?

Aircraft by serial number (MSN), engines by serial number (ESN), and dismantled parts (PART). Each registry type tracks the assets relevant to compliant cross-border movement. See the registries.

Is a Dismantle Parts Tag an airworthiness release?

No. A Dismantle Parts Tag is not an Authorized Release Certificate. It is distinct from an 8130-3, an EASA Form 1, or a CAAC AAC-038 and should not be treated as a substitute for one.

Who are the program partners?

Block Aero works with AFRA and CAAC on the program, alongside relationships with bodies such as ICAO. Cross-border USM traceability is being built on recognized industry footing. Learn more.

How do I participate?

Start by opening your organization account, then talk to our team about the registry workflow that fits your role.

Security & compliance

Trust, verified

Is Block Aero ISO 27001 certified?

Yes. Block Aero is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 by the Aviation Suppliers Association Certification Body under Certificate BLOC-001-06-26-27, issued 11 Jun 2026 and valid through 10 Jun 2029. Visit the Trust Center.

What does the certification cover?

The certified scope is the design, development, and maintenance of the Block Aero platform for data digitization. That covers the systems your records and passports run on.

How is data kept trustworthy?

Records on the Aviation Blockchain Network are verified and tamper-evident, and the Trust List aligns recognition with the ICAO Trust Framework and ISO 27001 guidelines. The result is records a counterparty can rely on.

Where can I review your security posture?

The Trust Center publishes our certification details and security practices so your compliance team can review them directly.

Integrations

Connect your systems

Can I connect my ERP or M&E system?

Yes. openAPI Integration Services support ERP and M&E sync, keeping asset records consistent between your systems of record and the network.

Can buyers verify ownership through a marketplace?
