About JALUX

A global aerospace value-chain leader since 1962

JALUX Inc. is a Japanese multinational covering the complete aerospace value chain — asset management, engine leasing, engine part-out, parts and chemical distribution, MRO and logistics support, financial solutions, and airport operations — across a worldwide network spanning Japan, the Americas, Singapore, Shanghai, and beyond.

NET SALES

~USD 1 billion

Net sales of JPY 145,271M in FY2023 — 51% growth year on year.

PEOPLE

~1,900 employees

In Japan, up 12% year on year.

QUALITY APPROVALS

Certified across borders

JALUX AS/EN9120, JALUX Americas ASA-100, and TRACE CERTIFIED.

The challenge

One supply chain, too many disconnected ledgers

JALUX coordinates repairs, parts, and assets across many organizations: MROs, distributors, operators, OEMs, and regulators. Keeping status, documents, and certificates aligned across all of them, with the data integrity its Quality Management System demands, is slow and costly when every party keeps its own separate database.

Data integrity for QMS

Records had to be tamper-resistant and verifiable to satisfy JALUX's quality management obligations across borders.

Cross-organization sharing

Status of assets and transactions needed to move cleanly between partners, without rekeying or format disputes.

Operational efficiency

High-volume repair order workflows demanded a single, shared source of truth instead of reconciliation across many systems.

The solution

Digital Asset Manager on the Aviation Blockchain Network

JALUX deployed Block Aero's Digital Asset Manager — including its repair-order (MRO) transaction workflows — on a private, permissioned blockchain replicated peer-to-peer between organizations as a shared, distributed ledger. Web portals for people, APIs for machines, and role-based permissions for everyone.

Create assets

Easily create on-chain digital-twin asset profiles for aircraft, engines, and parts — each a Blockchain Aviation Asset with a digital passport for back-to-birth events and documentation.

Attach data blocks

Build best-in-class asset pedigrees by attaching data blocks and immutable certificates — every record carries a hash that validates data integrity for compliance.

Manage transactions

Run high-volume repair orders as digital threads — propose, accept, and reconcile orders, with ORG-role permissions controlling who can read and write each record.

The journey

From contract to 13,000+ orders

KICKOFF

Contract signed

JALUX selects Block Aero after aligning on mission, values, and the data-integrity standards its QMS requires.

ONBOARDING

JALUX HQ on-site & first repair order

Block Aero works on-site with JALUX to launch the platform; the first repair-order transaction goes live on-chain.

JAN 2024

Enterprise scale

13,753 repair orders managed, 150,000+ assets created, and $100M+ in transaction volume — a production deployment at enterprise scale, as presented in the EASA VIRTUA case study co-delivered with JALUX.
