Platform

One trusted network for aerospace assets

Aviation already runs on shared data between partners you have to trust. Today that trust is rebuilt by hand, deal after deal. The Block Aero platform connects vetted organizations, assets, and records on one network, so trust is established once and recognized everywhere.

Overview

Better records change the economics of every deal

Each aviation transaction depends on records, and each party re-checks them at its own expense. That duplicated effort adds weeks of cost and risk. Anchoring asset identity, provenance, and transaction history in a blockchain-secured system removes the duplication.

Faster transactions

Verified records take the friction out of deals, lowering the cost and time of every transaction.

Compliance you can show

Safety and compliance records are cryptographically signed and instantly auditable.

Higher residual values

Complete, trusted documentation improves liquidity and protects value at every stage of ownership.

AI-ready data

Structured, dependable data that fuels AI, analytics, and fintech innovation across the industry.

Aviation Blockchain Network

Every party works from the same truth

Your assets move between operators, shops, lessors, and regulators every day, but each organization keeps its own version of the truth, and the gaps between those versions are where time and value disappear. The ABN puts airlines, MROs, OEMs, lessors, regulators, and recyclers on one permissioned network with clear roles and one shared record per asset.

Six screened parties, one synchronized record per asset on the Aviation Blockchain Network.

Asset identity and lifecycle

Each asset is issued a unique Blockchain Aviation Asset (BAA) linking manufacturing, maintenance, ownership, and sustainability data.

Immutable records

Every transaction is cryptographically signed, timestamped, and permanently anchored for full auditability.

Permissioned participation

Only screened industry stakeholders can contribute or validate records, with role-based access for operators, lessors, OEMs, regulators, and service providers.

Organizational trust anchors

ORG records define who participates on the network: their accredited facilities, certificates held, and responsible managers.

Interoperability by design

Secure APIs integrate with OEM, MRO, ERP, finance, and regulatory systems for real-time synchronization.

Transaction enablement

The ABN serves as the settlement layer for escrow, financing, leasing, parts sales, and other fintech applications.

Blockchain Aviation Assets

A tamper-proof passport for every asset

Assets outlive their owners, their operators, and the IT systems that hold their records, and every change of hands risks breaking the paper trail. So every aircraft, engine, and serialized component on the network is issued a Blockchain Aviation Asset (BAA): a digital passport that stays with it for life.

01

Lineage preserved

The complete back-to-birth chain of custody stays intact through every transfer, installation, and shop visit.

02

Records consolidated

Identity, certifications, and maintenance history live in one portable record instead of scattered systems.

03

Systems outlived

The passport persists through ownership changes, company closures, and IT migrations.

Data Sharing Specification

A common language for asset data

Everyone in aviation records the same facts, and everyone records them differently, which is why exchanging data still means spreadsheets and rework. The DSS defines one set of rules and schemas for how asset data is structured, validated, and exchanged. Human readable, machine ready, standards driven.

SCHEMAS

Asset profiles

Master data models for aircraft, engines, APUs, and serialized parts (MSN, ESN, and APU profiles), covering identity, type certificates, and states of design, manufacture, registry, and operation.

ACCESS

Roles and permissions

Every field carries a read and write matrix across organization roles. OEMs hold write authority for design data, regulators read all compliance, operators write usage and maintenance fields.

RECORDS

Documents and data blocks

Standardized on-chain records: ADs, service bulletins, installation and removal records, release and conformity certificates, non-incident statements. Portable, versioned, and traceable.

Live now

openAPI integration services

Connect the network to the places you do business. List assets on marketplaces such as ILS with immutable proof-of-ownership links, sync aviation ERP and M&E systems, and stream live data into every asset record, all governed by API access management in your organization account.

Trust List

Know every counterparty, continuously

Certificates expire, companies change hands, and most verification happens once and goes stale. The ABN runs on a continuously screened Trust List (TL) of organizations, supported by a Trust Information List (TIL). Together they define trusted sources and data sharing mechanisms, aligned with the ICAO Trust Framework and backed by Block Aero's information security management system, certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 by the Aviation Suppliers Association Certification Body (certificate BLOC-001-06-26-27).

Component What it does
Trust List (TL) Organizations that have passed KYC checks, validated against authoritative sources such as ICAO operator codes, the FAA Repair Station database, and the ASA accreditation list. Records include legal names, codes, certificates, and status.
Trust Information List (TIL) Defines what information is exchanged on the network, and how.
Organization types Network Authorities (regulators, OEMs, associations) and Network Members (airlines, MROs, lessors, distributors), each with distinct data responsibilities and permissions.
KYC screening All organizations undergo Know Your Customer screening through trusted third-party tools, with ongoing rescreening for ownership changes, sanctions, or dissolution.
Public portal Non-members can view a subset of Trust List data, including names, codes, websites, and certificates, to increase transparency and industry confidence.
