Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) has selected Block Aero as a winner of their 2022 Start-Up Challenge. The competition was organized to accelerate LTP’s digital transformation efforts and support entrepreneurs looking to apply their solutions to the MRO sector. Winners are invited to the LTP headquarters in Manila to discuss how their solutions can be applied to improve efficiency
Over 100 teams from 8 countries participated in the challenge. Block Aero was represented in-person by CEO Todd Siena, Finance Director Lucas Pinoli, and Chief Product Officer Carlos Ribeiro.
The judges for the LTP Startup Challenge were LTP President & CEO, Elmar Lutter; LTP CFO & SVP for Finance, Rubi Pioquinto; LTP Deputy CFO & VP for Strategy & Corporate Projects, Stefan Yordanov; LTP Vice-President for IT, Roberto Asuncion; and Seedstars Ambassador & Startup Coach, Artie Lopez.

The recognition from LTP reinforces earlier accolades received from Rolls-Royce and ST Aerospace for digital innovation in the aerospace sector. Block Aero’s MRO Manager brings repair processes from email, XLS, and ERP systems to a distributed ledger environment that easily facilitates coordination of thousands of repair orders across customers, vendors and other third parties.
